Position:Access Control Specialist (shift: 10p-6a)
Location:Columbia, Maryland

Responsibilities: Candidate duties include but not limited to:
-Monitor and control access into and from facility by ensuring personnel identification throughout the production, issuance, and verification of identification media
-Verify security clearance and accesses in the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) or equivalent system of visitors, issue appropriate badge, and notify sponsors of visitor's arrival.
-Monitor the compliance with the established rules and regulations.
-Verify all Standard Forms 700 and 702 and other security documents are complete and if not, complete the "check" and/or "guard check".
-Conduct roving sweeps to check inside AFSC facilities, ensuring the integrity of the SCIF entry/exit doors, emergency exit doors, roof access doors, stairwells doors are secure and have no signs of tampering or unauthorized entry, while ensuring all passageways are free from debris or any other barrier that may pose a safety hazard or prevent egression.
-Operate and maintain manual and computer based access control on other computer related systems, databases, and equipment.
-Provide personnel to staff Visitor Centers, at various locations, for processing of individuals into the secured facilities.
-Ensure personnel bringing in approved equipment and media have the appropriate Government issued and approved equipment/media entry/exit authorization form.
-Conduct random inspections to ensure prohibited items are not introduced into facilities in accordance with regulations, policies, and directives.
operate walk through metal detectors (both fixed and portable), X-Ray equipment, and other equipment to facilitate this process at pedestrian control points.
-Conduct package inspections on personnel departing the facility as per post/position orders.
-Conduct ingress inspections in accordance with post/position orders.
-Respond to rooms located with the facility to open or secure areas s directed within the guidelines of the post/position orders or security regulations.
-Monitor closed circuit television systems, intrusion detection systems, fire alarm systems and dispatch personnel as necessary.

Requirements: Candidates must be able to work day, mid and overnightshift.Maintain an active TS/SCI clearance. Candidate must also possess High Diploma or GED. Have three or more years of customer service experience. Be proficient in MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) while possessing excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
