Position: Security Guard

Location: Charleston, South Carolina

Responsibilities: Candidate duties include but not limited to:

• Review airport emergency plan regularly to ensure compliance with state, local and federal laws as well as assist the principal with the implementation of the emergency plan for drills and actual emergencies.
• Observe and report incidents to the local authorities as needed.
• Have working knowledge of South Carolina laws as they pertain to search and seizure, contraband and weapons violations.
• Responsible for logging in/out persons entering and leaving the worksite.
• Aid in the prevention of vandalism, theft, malicious mischief, trespass, active shooter, or use of facilities equipment.
• Report any unusual incidents or hazardous conditions and provide a write up of the incident.
• Policing the grounds, buildings and parking lots; opening buildings; securing the buildings; monitoring security systems; monitor running equipment; escort housekeeping personal outside buildings; maintaining security booths and security vehicles; posting notices, and other related duties as may be assigned.
• Drive patrol car/golf cart to monitor activity and assist on site.
• Paperwork, injury reports, etc.
• Provide excellent customer service skills

Requirements:

• Candidates must be able to work day, swings and mid shifts as needed.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years law enforcement, public safety (security guard) or military experience.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License and SLED license.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Candidate must have a High Diploma or GED and be proficient in MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint), while possessing excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
